Protesters put banner We Are Europe on Rustaveli Avenue

Participants of the protest, organized by media representatives at the Georgian parliament building on central Rustaveli Avenue in Tbilisi, put the banner We Are Europe along the road.

Protesters demand investigation of the violent attacks against journalists on July 5 in Tbilisi and resignation of Prime Minister Irakli Garibahvili. Representatives of some opposition parties and civil activists joined the media protest.

Fifty-five persons, among them fifty-three media representatives, including the GPB cameraman, were assaulted during the anti-Tbilisi Pride rally on July 5, according to the Interior Ministry. Tbilisi Pride cancelled the scheduled march amid violent protests.
