Prosecutor’s Office: Mamuka Khazaradze said nothing about threatening letter during the questioning

The information as if in his testimony Mamuka Khazaradze indicated that he received a threatening letter from Interior Minister does not correspond to the truth, – notes the statement released by the Chief Prosecutor’s Office.

According to the investigative body, during the questioning, Khazaradze drew attention only to the official letter sent by the National Bank, about his and Badri Japaridze’s possible resignation, which Khazaradze perceived as a threat.

Today, at the sitting of Parliament Committee on Finance and Budget, the founder of TBC Bank Mamuka Khazaradze said that ahead of the second round of the presidential election he had received a threatening letter from the Minister of Interior Giorgi Gakharia. Interior Minister responded to this statement.
