Prosecutor’s Office: Investigation determined that no violence committed against convict Giorgi Davitadze

The Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia concluded an investigation into the alleged sexual violence against convict Giorgi Davitadze, who is serving his prison sentence at #6 Rustavi Penitentiary Facility.

According to the statement released by the Prosecutor’s Office, collected evidence confirms that no violence or criminal act of any kind had occurred against the prisoner.

“Consequently, a decision has been made to stop the criminal investigation. The evidence obtained and examined in the case has conclusively established that the information provided to the investigation by Giorgi Davitadze is untrue. It stands in fundamental contradiction to the reliable evidence collected in the case.

Therefore, on October 9, 2026, the investigation into the matter was terminated due to the absence of a crime,” the Prosecutor’s Office said.
