Georgian Prosecutor’s Office holds interrogations within the ongoing probe into the June 30 incident on the territory of the US Embassy.

The founder of the TV Pirveli channel, Vato Tsereteli, and his lawyer arrived at the investigative agency on Tuesday. Tsereteli accuses the ruling Georgian Dream party lawmakers of physically assaulting him at the US Independence Day reception.

In a statement issued today, the Prosecutor’s Office expresses its readiness to cooperate with the Embassy to investigate the fact thoroughly.

“The US Embassy expressed its readiness to cooperate with the relevant Georgian agencies using diplomatic channels, considering the diplomatic immunity of the embassy and its staff,” the Office notes.
