Prosecution amends charges against four indictees in Vake Fountain death case
With the death of Marita Meparishvili, a schoolgirl electrocuted in a Vake Park fountain, the Georgian Prosecutor’s Office filed fresh charges against the GreenService+ Director, a company employee, the MshenExpert Director, and their expert.
The indictment against GreenService+ Director has been stiffened up considering the facts of faulty work that resulted in the death of one person and health-related damage to two others, as well as the use of forged documentation. At this point in the inquiry into Marita Meparishvili’s death, nine people have been indicted, and the case will be heard in court. The Ministry of Internal Affairs is actively carrying out investigative and procedural actions to identify other individuals who may have been involved in the crime. The prosecutor’s office has decided to carry out engineering-technical and information-technology expertise.
