Prominent photographer Badri Vadachkoria dies at 79

Prominent photographer Badri Vadachkoria died at the age of 79.

Badri Vadachkoria was born on May 29, 1947, in Lanchkhuti, the Guria region. He graduated from the Journalism Department of the Faculty of Philology at Tbilisi State University.

Vadachkoria worked at various newspapers and was a member of the International Organization of Journalists.

He was the recipient of the “Golden Wing” award, a participant and winner of numerous international photography contests, laureate of the State Prize of Georgia, and Honorary Citizen of Tbilisi.

Badri Vadachkoria was the author of 25 photo albums and 6 books. Georgian Public Broadcaster expresses sorrow over Badri Vadachkoria’s death and offers condolences to his family members and relatives.
