Procedural Issues and Rules Committee: Opposition uses mandates for political speculation

Guram Macharashvili, Deputy Chairman of the Procedural Issues and Rules Parliamentary Committee, believes that opposition parties are using the termination of their parliamentary seats for political speculation.

The ruling team has more responsibilities and envisages the political process as well, Macharashvili noted.

“We see a kind of political component in opposition’s decision, which means that there is speculation on their part regarding the membership of the parliament. We will comply with the requirements and regulations as much as possible, and we will meet the deadlines,” Macharashvili said.
