Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze met with OSCE Secretary General Feridun Sinirlioğlu.
The meeting focused on cooperation with the OSCE, the situation in the region, and the challenges facing Georgia.
The Prime Minister thanked the OSCE Secretary General for his visit to Georgia and close cooperation. Georgia’s commitment to democratic principles, human rights, and the rule of law was once again emphasized.
The parties discussed the situation in Georgia’s occupied territories. It was noted that the Georgian side appreciates the OSCE’s co-chairmanship in the Geneva International Discussions and its participation in the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism format.
The Georgian government’s commitment to peaceful policy was strongly emphasized.
The meeting held at the Government Administration paid special attention to the importance of peace and stability in the South Caucasus region and Georgia’s efforts in this regard. It was noted that it is important for the OSCE to remain the central platform for dialogue on European security architecture.
