Prime Minister Kobakhidze meets leading Fintech executives in Singapore

The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, met with prominent Fintech representatives as part of his working visit to Singapore, the Government Administration announced.

During the round-table discussion, the Head of Government underscored Georgia’s strategic geographic position and its pivotal role in enhancing regional connectivity.

“The Prime Minister highlighted Georgia’s business-friendly environment, liberal tax regime, predictable legislative framework, and macroeconomic stability, which together create highly favourable conditions for long-term investment,” the statement read.

Kobakhidze further detailed the nation’s strong economic growth indicators and its leading positions in international rankings. He pointed to the rapid development of Georgia’s financial sector, noting that it provides a solid foundation for introducing innovative financial services and fostering enduring partnerships between Georgian and Singaporean enterprises.

During the event, the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development delivered a comprehensive presentation on Georgia’s investment opportunities, after which the Prime Minister fielded questions from attending executives. The round table brought together leaders from nearly 30 major Singaporean Fintech companies.
