Prime Minister inspects Ambrolauri Culture Palace ahead of full restoration project

Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze, accompanied by Minister of Infrastructure Revaz Sokhadze, inspected the Ambrolauri Culture Palace, which is set to undergo complete restoration in the near future.

The architectural design phase for the Ambrolauri Culture Palace is currently underway, following which a tender for the construction and reconstruction works will be announced.

The Prime Minister reviewed the project plans, which envisage that the comprehensive restoration will preserve the building’s historical appearance while adapting it to modern standards.

“The Ambrolauri Culture Palace is a unique building that requires restoration. Multifunctional spaces will be created here, including areas for theatrical performances and exhibition space. The Ambrolauri Culture Palace houses unique museum exhibits; consequently, it is essential that all these functions are accommodated within a modern facility,” Irakli Kobakhidze stated.

Following the restoration, the building will be transformed into a multifunctional cultural centre housing a community theatre, as well as spaces dedicated to folklore, choreography, museum exhibits, and educational activities.
