The Prime Minister of Georgia, Mamuka Bakhtadze congratulated the population on Vlakernoba celebrations – placing holy robe of Saint Mary in Vlakerna.
Today, Vlakernoba is celebrated in Zugdidi, Samegrelo region today. The holy relic – Saint Mary’s robe is taken out of storage in Dadiani Palace History and Architectural Museum and available for the public to pay their respects at the Saint Mary Cathedral Church.
Prime Minister of Georgia attended the solemn liturgy at Saint Mary Cathedral Church. The Church service was conducted by Patriarch’s locum tenens, the Metropolitan of Senaki and Chkhorotsku Shio along with the Tsaishi and Zugdidi Eparchy Bishop Gerasime.
The head of the government attended the festive liturgy with the Interior and Defense ministers.
