The Presidents of Georgia and Serbia, accompanied by their spouses, have met with His Holiness and Beatitude Shio III, Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, Archbishop of Mtskheta-Tbilisi, and Metropolitan of Bichvinta and Tskhum-Abkhazia. The President of Georgia, Mikheil Kavelashvili, shared the news on social media.

The meeting took place at the Patriarchate of Georgia as part of the official visit of the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, to Georgia.

“It was an immense honour to meet, alongside our dear guests, His Holiness and Beatitude Shio III, Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, Archbishop of Mtskheta-Tbilisi, and Metropolitan of Bichvinta and Tskhum-Abkhazia.

During the meeting, we discussed the centuries-old historical, cultural, and spiritual ties between our Orthodox nations. We unanimously reaffirmed the importance of further deepening our bilateral friendly relations and strengthening the partnership between our countries,” Kavelashvili wrote on social media.
