President Zourabichvili: Saakashvili's health damage report must go to court, be handled decently

Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili on Thursday said “the report on the extent of the damage to ex-President Mikheil Saakashvili’s health should be filed with the court and I’m hoping the court will perform at its heights.”

Zourabichvili said she was careful about Saakashvili’s health.

“This is a very important issue for the country’s reputation and dignity. Representatives of my administration regularly meet with representatives of various councils, including the Empathy centre. Such a meeting is scheduled even today. I have said many times abroad and at closed meetings that I am not an expert and have no knowledge of the extent of the former president’s health damage. Those obliged should make the conclusion. I believe it is appropriate that the report be filed with the court, and the court should reach a reasonable conclusion,” she said.
