President to participate in Regional Ecological Summit in Astana

Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili will participate in a Regional Ecological Summit in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, on April 22.

The President will deliver a speech at the summit’s plenary session.

The forum, organized in partnership with the United Nations, will bring together regional leaders to discuss the challenges posed by climate change and the importance of coordinated international efforts to address them. Special attention will also be given to connectivity issues, which are particularly important for landlocked countries.

The summit will be attended by the presidents of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Mongolia, and Armenia, as well as the Prime Minister of Azerbaijan. Heads of various international organizations will also participate as speakers.
