President talks Georgia's EU candidate status with Venice Commission
Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili met with the Venice Commission of the Council of Europe’s delegation, paying an official visit to Georgia.
According to the presidential press service, at the meeting held at the Orbelian Palace, emphasis was placed on the significance of granting Georgia candidate status and the ongoing efforts towards European integration.
“The conversation touched on the upcoming elections in 2024 and deepening institutional cooperation, including through increased support of European institutions.
The President of Georgia thanked the Venice Commission for promoting democratic processes and strengthening institutional reforms in Georgia,” the presidential press service reported.
