President of Georgia to address participants of 74th Session of UNGA
President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili will address participants of the 74th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York today. The speech of the Georgian President to be delivered in the English language is scheduled for 19:00-20:30 Tbilisi time within the framework of General Debate.
The main topic of the General Debate this year is the mobilization of efforts against poverty, for quality education and against climate changes.
Salome Zurabishvili will be the first President of Georgia after 2013 to address world leaders of more than 100 countries from the floor of the UN General Assembly.
President of Georgia will focus her speech on occupation, finding the means for restoration of territorial integrity of Georgia and the role of the international community to stop the creeping occupation.
President of Georgia and members of the Georgian delegation held different bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the 74th session of UNGA. President Zurabishvili also attended the opening of General Debate on September 24.
