President not to agree with MP mandates termination to opposition lawmakers

Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili does not agree with the termination of MP mandates to opposition lawmakers.

“Due to the internal and external challenges today, I do not agree to terminate the powers of MPs!,” President wrote on the social network.

Georgian parliament terminated MP mandates to three opposition lawmakers, Elene Khoshtaria (Droa leader), Shalva Natelashvili (Labor Party leader) and Badri Japaridze (Lelo leader), as well as to former Speaker Kakha Kuchava at the plenary sitting on Tuesday.
