President meets Ursula von der Leyen

The Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili met with the European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen during her visit to Brussels.

“To President Ursula von der Leyen, I reiterated the unwavering will of the Georgian people to join the European family and emphasized the importance of the status of EU candidate for Georgian society.

I look forward to our continued cooperation advancing Georgia on its historic path toward the EU,” President Zourabichvili tweeted following the meeting.
