Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili has congratulated Ukraine and the Ukrainian people on the 35th anniversary of the country’s independence.

“Congratulations to Ukraine and the Ukrainian people on the 35th anniversary of independence! Independence is the supreme expression of a nation’s free choice, state dignity and right to determine its own future. Georgia, whose history represents a continuous struggle for freedom, knows well the true value of sovereignty.
