President Kavelashvili attends UN 80th Anniversary Ceremony in New York
President of Georgia Mikheil Kavelashvili attended the ceremonial event marking the 80th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations.
World leaders were addressed by UN Secretary-General António Guterres and President of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, Annalena Baerbock. The event highlighted the mission, activities, and key achievements of the organization over the past eight decades.
The Georgian delegation included Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili, Permanent Representative of Georgia to the UN Davit Bakradze, Ambassador to the United States Tamar Taliashvili, and Head of the Presidential Administration Ketevan Kvinikadze.
As part of his visit, President Kavelashvili will deliver a speech at the 80th session of the UN General Assembly. He will also attend an official reception hosted by US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump for the heads of delegations.
In addition, the Georgian President is scheduled to hold several high-level bilateral meetings, including a meeting with UN Secretary-General António Guterres.
