President Ilham Aliyev: Georgia-Azerbaijan friendship rooted in deep historical ties
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev congratulated Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on the appointment and said he was glad that the PM decided to visit Azerbaijan “promptly.”
At the joint press conference held with the Georgian PM, Ilham Aliyev remarked that Georgia and Azerbaijan always stand by each other as two independent states.
“Our friendship and brotherhood are rooted in deep historical ties. For centuries, our people have lived in conditions of friendship and good neighbourliness. On this strong foundation, relations between the two countries have been established,” the President of Azerbaijan said.
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze pays an official visit to Azerbaijan. The Georgian delegation, led by PM Irakli Kobakhidze, comprises First Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Levan Davitashvili and Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili.
