President hosts Glory to Ukraine conference participants

Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili Tuesday hosted the participants of the Glory to Ukraine international conference at Orbelian Palace.

President emphasized that Georgia’s hosting of the Ukrainian-focused conference underscores the close relationship the two countries share.

“By fighting tenaciously against Russian aggression, Ukraine has written a new chapter in history,” Zourabichvili said.

She added the struggle of the Ukrainian people had entirely changed the world’s geopolitics.

“Russia is no longer invincible. A smaller, more persistent nation shattered its invincibility by demonstrating that resistance was possible; it didn’t tolerate occupation or invasion of its territories. This resistance showed that it is possible to defeat the stronger, the bigger, the better equipped,” the President declared.

In these changing times, President Zourabichvili believes it is crucial for Georgia to evaluate these changes and understand that what is most important is unity and solidarity with those who share the same values.
