President honors cultural figures with State Awards

The President of Georgia, Mikheil Kavelashvili, on the recommendation of Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili, awarded representatives of the cultural sphere with the State Awards of Georgia – the Orders of Excellence and Honor.

The awards recognize outstanding achievements in the field of culture, significant contributions to Georgia, and special efforts in developing the country’s cultural sphere.

The ceremony took place at the Presidential Palace and was attended by the President’s spouse, Tamar Bagrationi, Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, Speaker Shalva Papuashvili, Minister of Culture Tinatin Rukhadze, Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara Sulkhan Tamazashvili, members of Parliament, and representatives of the cultural sector.

Addressing the laureates, President Kavelashvili said:
“As you know, Georgian culture is one of the most important representations of our traditions, identity, and character. Throughout history, Georgia has produced extraordinary cultural achievements in cinema, music, theater, and literature that are admired not only in Georgia but around the world.

Maintaining this high standard requires attention and support, as it is our duty to pass on our cultural heritage to future generations. You, who create this work every day, deserve our deepest respect. We are proud of our unique Georgian culture, and I congratulate you on this award and wish you continued success.”
