The Georgian language is one of the main determinant phenomenons of our cultural and ethnic identity, – President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili said at the event dedicated to the Georgian Language Day at Tbilisi State University (TSU).
According to him, the language has really played a unique role in Georgia. “I am glad that today, at the Tbilisi State University, we are so remarkably celebrating the date that started 40 years ago. The organizers took a heroic step and protected our native language. They launched a new wave of national movement.
The Georgian language is one of the main determinant phenomenons of our cultural and ethnic identity. The Georgian language has really played a unique role in this very difficult region for the survival of such a little nation for millenniums,” President said.
