President expresses his condolences over death of Georgian composer Nunu Dughshvili

Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili has expressed his condolences over the death of Georgian composer and singer Nunu Dughshvili.

“Nunu Dughshvili’s work is an important part of Georgian musical culture. Her compositions gave a special place to Georgian character, national motifs, and the emotional world that made her art familiar and distinctive to listeners.

Her creative legacy will remain part of the history of Georgian music for many years to come.

The President of Georgia extends his condolences to Nunu Dughshvili’s family, relatives, colleagues, and Georgian society as a whole,” the presidential statement of condolence reads.

Composer Nunu Dughshvili died at the age of 93.
