President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, extended his heartfelt congratulations to Irakli Kobakhidze on his appointment as Georgia’s Prime Minister.

President Erdogan expresses his confidence that the enduring friendly relations between Turkey and Georgia will witness further enhancement in all areas in the days to come.

“On behalf of the Turkish people and myself, I extend sincere congratulations to Your Excellency on assuming the role of Prime Minister of Georgia, our neighbour, friend, and strategic partner.

In this period marked by promising developments towards establishing long-term peace and stability in our region, I am optimistic that your dedicated efforts will contribute to the strengthening of friendly relations between Turkey and Georgia across various fields.

I take this opportunity to reiterate my wishes for Your Excellency’s good health and extend my hopes for the continued prosperity and happiness of the friendly people of Georgia,” mentioned in the letter addressed to Irakli Kobakhidze.

Eighty-four legislators backed Irakli Kobakhidze and his new government, while ten voted against them in the February 8 vote.
