President: Beating opponents, intimidation, repressions have nothing to do with Europe

“Beating opponents, intimidation, dispersal of demonstrations, repressions, and other cruel methods have nothing to do with Europe. These are actions indicative of an authoritarian regime,” – said the President of Georgia, Salome Zourabichvili, during a speech at the event dedicated to Europe Day in Rustaveli Theater.

The President said, “The Georgian nation is wise and does not follow provocations.”

“The Georgian nation would not have existed if it had not been so wise. Because the Georgian nation is wise, it does not follow provocations; it will not accept confrontation, but will not give up; will follow the European path to free elections”, she stated.
