Preparations are underway at Liberty Square for the main event marking Georgia’s Independence Day on May 26.
The first rehearsal has already been held at the square ahead of the celebrations.
In addition to members of the Georgian Defence Forces, recruits of the National Military Service also participated in the rehearsal. On May 26, they are set to take the military oath in a ceremonial setting and officially join the Defence Forces.
As part of the traditional Independence Day events, military exhibition spaces will be arranged, allowing the public to view military equipment, weaponry, and gear.
At the conclusion of the oath-taking ceremony and official celebrations at Liberty Square, aircraft from the Air Defense and Aviation Command are expected to conduct a ceremonial flyover.
