Power restored after emergency outage in Dighomi, Chugureti, and Saburtalo districts
Due to an unforeseen emergency shutdown of a power transmission line, electricity was temporarily interrupted for parts of the Dighomi, Chugureti, and Saburtalo districts at 2.40 p.m. The Georgian State Electrosystem (GSE) reports that the power supply has now been fully restored.
“At 14:40 today, July 15, the 220 kV power transmission line Didube 4 and the autotransformer at the Didube 220 substation were accidentally deactivated. Consequently, electricity was cut off to residents in the Dighomi, Chugureti, and Saburtalo districts.
However, the Georgian State Electrosystem successfully restored the power supply by 15:05. We apologise to all affected consumers for the inconvenience caused,” the statement reads.
