Potential causes behind the plane crash in Tehran

Several potential causes for the crash of Ukraine International Airlines flight in Tehran are being discussed, including terrorism, a missile strike, or catastrophic engine failure, foreign media reports.

Ukraine’s National Security and Defence council chief, Oleksiy Danilov, says among various causes behind the crash, there is a theory that the plane was hit by a Russian-made Tor missile.

The Ukraine International Airlines Boeing 737 crashed two minutes after taking off from Imam Khomeini International Airport in Tehran, killing all passengers and crew.
