The Ministry of Internal Affairs announced that law enforcement authorities have seized a substantial quantity of illegal drugs.
One individual has been arrested on charges related to attempting to purchase and store narcotics.
“Following operational measures and investigative actions, officers from the Main Division for Combating Illicit Drug Trafficking, part of the Central Criminal Police Department, apprehended T.Sh., born in 1978, on suspicion of attempting to purchase and possess a large quantity of narcotics. Such a crime is punishable by up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
During the investigation, law enforcement seized 439 pills of the narcotic substance Subutex, along with pill fragments, as evidence. The ongoing investigation pertains to the illegal purchase and storage of a particularly large amount of narcotics under Article 260, Part 1, and Article 19-260, Part 3, Subparagraph A of the Criminal Code,” the Ministry stated.
