Police detain 43 individuals for disobeying law enforcement and petty hooliganism

Law enforcement detained 43 individuals during the protest on Rustaveli Avenue under Articles 166 and 173 of the Administrative Offenses Code, for disobeying a police officer’s lawful demand and petty hooliganism.

According to the Interior Ministry, it has launched a probe into offences committed during the protest, under Part 2 of Articles 353-1 and 187 of the Criminal Code.

The agency also said 32 law enforcement officers were injured during the rally, with 13 of them requiring surgical intervention.
