Police arrest one more convoy officer over Aversi Clinic escape

The police arrested one more convoy officer in connection with the prisoners’ escape.

The charges against the officer fall under the first part of Article 342 Prima of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which pertains to careless actions resulting in the escape of convicts during transportation.

Three prisoners escaped from the Tbilisi Aversi clinic on November 1 while on a medical examination. The police detained all three escapers from the Aversi Clinic on November 2.

Chief convoy officer, charged in connection with the prisoners’ escape, was imposed imprisonment on November 4.
