PM's visit to Israel to initiate many significant initiatives, Ambassador says

The Prime Minister’s visit to Israel will serve as the beginning of many significant initiatives, Lasha Zhvania, the Georgian Ambassador to Israel, stated.

According to Zhvania, the main focus will be on a free trade agreement, inked during Georgia’s Foreign Minister’s visit to Israel, which will commence in 2024.

Ambassador noted that this step will launch a new era of economic collaboration between the two nations, paving the way for increased investments in Georgia.

“Israel and Georgia have maintained productive relations for years, which have notably escalated recently, as confirmed by the Prime Minister’s second visit to Israel within a year and a half. It means numerous issues are on the agenda, awaiting discussion and resolution at the highest political level.

The forthcoming negotiations on the free trade agreement, set to begin by 2024, will give a new beginning to our economic partnership, fostering investment inflow into Georgia.
Furthermore, our focus extends to military, political, and defence cooperation, as well as regional issues,” Lasha Zhvania stated.

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili departed for Israel accompanied by a delegation.
