“There is a saying that you reap what you sow. Whatever the European Union did and however it violated international law standards has now come back like a boomerang,” Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told journalists.

Kobakhidze commented on the visa restrictions imposed by the US State Department on former European Commissioner Thierry Breton and several other individuals, as well as the reaction of the EU’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas.

According to the Prime Minister, the European Union’s incorrect practices are now having consequences.

“It was, of course, a wrong practice, but this wrong practice has now come back to haunt the European Union, which is very interesting for us. When we hear the outraged statements of EU representatives in this regard, this is also very interesting,” said Irakli Kobakhidze.

Earlier, Kaja Kallas described the US decision to impose travel restrictions on European citizens and officials as “unacceptable” and an attempt to challenge the European Union’s sovereignty.
