“The Paralympic Games are approaching, which we anticipate with great interest, and I want to wish success to the Paralympic team and each participant of these games,” said Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze during a ceremony honouring the Georgian Olympic delegation at the State Ceremonies Palace.
According to the Prime Minister, this year’s Olympics represented “yet another proud page in the history of Georgian sports.”
“This Olympics was magnificent for our country. It was yet another important and proud chapter in the history of Georgian sports, and my special thanks go to everybody for contributing to this history,” he said.
The Prime Minister also congratulated Georgian athletes Luka Mkheidze (competing for France) and Giorgi Meshvildishvili (competing for Azerbaijan), who represented other countries.
The Paris 2024 Paralympic Games will take place from August 28 to September 8.
