“The Olympics will open today, twenty-six is a lucky number for us, we have all the starting bases to win as many medals as possible and have more champions at this Olympics,” said Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.

The PM wished success to Georgian athletes.

“The Olympics will open today, twenty-six is a lucky number for us. Therefore, we hope that it will be a record Olympic Games for Georgia with the number of won medals. We have a wonderful team, the best composition of our athletes, who will arrive in Paris. We have all the starting bases to win as many medals as possible and have more champions at this Olympics. We wish victories to our athletes,” he said.

The Paris Olympics 2024 will officially kick off on Friday with an opening ceremony at the city’s main river, the Seine, at 21:30 Tbilisi time.
