PM visits new Football Stadium of International Standards in Khashuri

Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili visited a new football stadium of international standards in Khashuri town within the framework of his regional tour to Shida Kartli.

Irakli Karseladze, Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure briefed the head of the government about the carried out works.

The Municipal Development Fund (MDF) carried out the construction works at the stadium under the financial support of the World Bank in the volume of 6.4 MLN GEL.

Artificial grass surface was arranged at the football stadium within the scope of the project, along with the outdoor lighting and essential irrigation system maintained in the relevant condition for the sports venue.

The stadium has seats for 2100 spectators, outdoor parking lot and supporting facilities. Road infrastructure was built to access the stadium from the surrounding areas.

Levan Kobiashvili, President of the Football Federation, representatives of the executive, legislative and local authorities accompanied the PM.
