PM views China's involvement in Anaklia project as significant in restoring Georgia's connectivity function between West and East

“Georgia should restore its traditional connectivity function between the West and the East. China’s participation in the Anaklia project is of utmost importance,” Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told reporters.

According to the PM, Georgia’s role should strengthen within the framework of the Middle Corridor project.

“It is important to maintain maximum cooperation in the direction of the West and the East. In this regard, the participation of the Chinese company in developing the Anaklia project is of particular importance. Effective operation of this port will largely depend on Chinese cargoes,” he said.
