The Georgian Prime Minister, Irakli Kobakhidze, emphasized the crucial link between transparency and European integration during a discussion with journalists in Germany.

He stressed that transparency is an indispensable element of European integration, stating, “There can only be an equal sign between transparency and European integration.”

“There can only be an equal sign between transparency and European integration. There cannot be an equal sign between opacity and European integration, as it would mean values have been inverted, a notion we find inconceivable. The sole equal sign lies between transparency and European integration, as well as transparency and democracy. There is no alternative to transparency,” said the PM.
