Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili urged for unity when laying a wreath at the memorial of the victims of August 2008 Russia-Georgia war in Gori town.
“Today reminds us that we should all unite. Only with unity, we can de-occupy our country.
What message we send to our citizens living in the occupied territories is very important.
When they see that we are not yet firmly established inside, we do not stand firm and we are not united, it is a very bad sign. At least on this day, I would like to wish all of us to unite and pay our tribute to our fallen heroes, their families and their memory,” PM said.
Thirteen years passed after the August 2008 Russia-Georgia military hostilities.
