PM to address Georgia-EU agenda during his visit to Belgium, Ambassador says

Vakhtang Makharoblishvili, Head of the Representation of Georgia to the European Union and Ambassador of Georgia to the Kingdom of Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, highlighted the significance of high-level meetings during the Georgian Prime Minister’s visit to the Kingdom of Belgium.

Makharoblishvili says the Prime Minister’s agenda includes meetings with Belgian counterparts and high-ranking EU officials. The PM will also meet with the Belgian House of Representatives President.

The visit also entails the presentation of the Europalia festival program, followed by an evening reception marking Georgia’s Independence Day and the Europalia festival. The PM will address the audience.

“The Prime Minister is scheduled to meet with European Council President Charles Michel and the European Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement, Olivér Várhelyi. The meetings will cover the priority topics on the Georgia-EU agenda, with special attention given to the priorities and recommendations presented by the EU earlier this year. The discussions will focus on expectations and goals by year’s end,” the ambassador said.

A meeting between the European Council President, Charles Michel, and the Georgian Prime Minister is set to occur on June 14.
