Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said large-scale infrastructure and business projects such as Tegeta Motors’ new regional hub play an important role in strengthening Georgia’s transit function and expanding the country’s economic potential.

Speaking at the presentation of the company’s regional hub, Kobakhidze said the facility represents a major investment and a significant addition to Georgia’s logistics infrastructure.

“I am glad to be in this impressive complex today. As you know, one of our country’s main priorities is the development of its transit function, and, of course, such impressive, large-scale, and innovative projects contribute to strengthening Georgia’s role as a transit hub.

This is a major project, with an investment of around GEL 100 million, and such a large-scale initiative significantly enhances our economic potential. It is a unique platform located on the Tbilisi bypass that goes beyond the domestic market in terms of its standards. It is the first multi-brand, multifunctional space in the South Caucasus, bringing together a full range of services in one location, which is naturally of great importance.

This complex serves transit flows connecting Turkey, Azerbaijan, Central Asia, and Europe, and the company offers international carriers the same high-quality services they receive at the world’s leading industrial hubs.

We are pleased that businesses themselves are setting a new and higher standard of development, and in this regard, Tegeta Holding is truly outstanding. The company’s commitment to environmental protection and occupational safety is also commendable. Its modern and safe hazardous waste management standards demonstrate that our logistics corridor is not only fast and efficient but also civilized and sustainable.

Supporting such initiatives is a priority for the state, as a sustainable transit corridor is unimaginable without well-developed, modern services. I would like to thank the founder of Tegeta Holding, Mr. Temur, the company’s management, and every employee for making this business initiative such a success. Projects of this scale further strengthen Georgia’s position on the global economic map,” the Prime Minister said.

Tegeta Motors has presented the infrastructure and capabilities of its GEZ branch, located in the company’s customs clearance economic zone, to representatives of the Georgian government and the business community.
