PM sends condolences over passing of Teimuraz Gotsadze

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili has expressed his deep condolences over the passing of the renowned artist Teimuraz Gotsadze.

“It is with enormous sadness that I learned of the passing of celebrated artist Teimuraz Gotsadze.

His oeuvre created with an unmatched signature style has secured a prominent place for Mr. Gotsadze in the history of Georgian painting. Especially noteworthy has been his productive work toward developing contemporary fine arts and raising new generations of artists.

I extend my sincere condolences and sympathy to Mr. Gotsadze’s family, loved ones, and colleagues, and our society as a whole,” the PM said.

The acclaimed Georgian painter passed away at the age of 82.
