PM sends condolences over passing of Otar Iosseliani

The Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili has issued a message of condolences over the passing of a prominent Georgian film director Otar Iosseliani.

“It is with great sadness that I learned of the passing of the great Georgian filmmaker Otar Iosseliani, Meritorious Worker of Art and People’s Artist of Georgia. Otar Iosseliani had his own style, which is only characteristic of great film directors. His movies have gained international recognition for our country on numerous occasions. I extend my sympathy to everyone, his family, film viewers, friends, and colleagues alike,” reads the PM’s message of condolences.
