PM sends condolences over passing of Medea Amiranashvili

The Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili has issued a message of condolences over the passing of a legendary Georgian soprano, Medea Amiranashvili.

“It is with enormous sadness that I learned of the passing of Medea Amiranashvili, People’s Artist of Georgia and a legendary Georgian soprano.

Medea Amiranashvili was an unrivaled performer of Georgian and European opera and a dedicated champion of Georgian music. This earned her great love and respect among opera aficionados and artists.

I extend my condolences to her family and loved ones, and share the pain of her admirers caused by their beloved artist’s passing,” the PM’s letter reads.
