PM says mountainous Adjara distinguishes itself with nature, traditions, people, vows to care for region
“My congratulations on Suamtoba, which is a celebration not only for Adjara and mountainous Adjara but for the entire of Georgia and each of us,” said Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze addressing attendees of the Shuamtoba public celebration in Beshumi.
According to the PM, mountainous Adjara distinguishes itself with nature, traditions, culture and local people.
“I am happy that, year after year, both local residents and all our guests welcome this festival with such joy. I wish you all a happy Shuamtoba, a celebration that holds special significance not only for Adjara and its mountainous regions but for all of Georgia and for every one of us.
I would like to thank you for the love you share with the guests every time we visit mountainous Adjara. This region distinguishes itself with nature, culture, traditions, and the main wealth is the local people who possess special skills to share love and joy with people that we feel every time.
I want to promise you again this year that the mountainous Adjara region will continue to receive the care and attention it deserves. The region is developing year by year, yet more is needed, and this is our responsibility. On behalf of the Georgian government, I pledge that we will not neglect this extraordinary region and its marvellous people,” he said.
