In his speech delivered on Veterans Day, Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said he was grateful to all veterans who sacrificed their lives in service of the country.
The PM remarked that the status of a veteran was honourable since it meant “dignity and dedication to the homeland.”
The Prime Minister stressed that the Georgian government had done a lot for veterans for the last 11 years to value their merit and ensure their worthy living conditions by offering the war veterans monthly GEL 1000 of financial aid, health insurance and various services.
“I would like to emphasize that it is our duty to do our best for our veterans. I once again bow to the memory of our heroes,” he said.
