PM says government to do its best to ensure Patriarch's health, wishes health to Ilia II
“I want to wish health to the Patriarch,” said Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze at the Caucasus Medical Centre, where Catholicos-Patriarch Ilia II is hospitalized.
According to the PM, the government will do its best to ensure the Patriarch’s health.
“My making a statement about the Patriarch’s health would probably be incorrect. Representatives of the council and the clinic will make remarks. I wish the Patriarch health, and extend my gratitude to physicians. They are fully involved. They are doing their best to care for the Patriarch’s health, and I am grateful to the Health Minister. The government certainly will do its best to continue to provide maximum care for the Patriarch’s health,” he said.
Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, Ilia II, was admitted to the Caucasus Medical Centre last night following a sudden deterioration in his health state due to a massive gastrointestinal haemorrhage. The patient is on artificial ventilation and is currently placed in the critical medical department.
