PM says core message for tomorrow's GD gathering is bright European future as priority
“We need a bright European future for our country, and this will be the main message at tomorrow’s gathering,” stated Irakli Kobakhidze, the Prime Minister of Georgia, during a press briefing.
The Prime Minister emphasized the significance of the upcoming parliamentary elections, which he described as equivalent to a referendum. He noted that this is a crucial moment for safeguarding the nation’s interests.
“In just a few days, we will hold parliamentary elections that are tantamount to a referendum. I urge the entire public to come out united in this election, as it represents a pivotal day for protecting our national interests. This is not just an election; it’s about war and peace. The public should vote for peace. It’s also about pseudo-liberal propaganda versus traditional values, and the public should champion traditional values. There are efforts underway to sow hatred within our society. Meanwhile, some individuals, including those funded by external sources, are attempting to undermine the love and unity that have always characterized our culture. Our society must respond to this on October 26.
Consider the faces within the opposition—Mikheil Saakashvili’s party, the National Movement, and Gvaramia’s party. Just think about the implications of those who represent these groups. Khazaradze, for example, has been implicated in a business racket alongside the National Movement. We’ve also discussed Gakharia’s wrongdoings. Our nation cannot afford to regress into that dark past. We need a bright European future, and this will be the principal message at tomorrow’s meeting,” the Prime Minister concluded.
